• Never forget that acne is an inflammatory skin condition—and treating your skin with harsh products only makes inflammation worse. Your Action Plan will be both gentle and effective.
• Hydration is key and the right moisturizer won’t cause breakouts. Skin cells need water to live so an oil-free lotion will keep your skin calm and the barrier healthy.
• Keep your hands off your blemishes, and instead, reach for a spot treatment to address any breakouts. It’s easier to cover up a closed bump than a picked-at scab, and post-breakout marks won’t last as long when you don’t mess with them.
