• Your skin greatly benefits from both water and oil, so take a two-handed approach to incorporate both. A barrier-restoring moisturizer is the magic touch you need to deliver water to thirsty skin cells, as well as oil-rich lipids to impart a supple appearance.
• Skincare products are useless without daily sunscreen and it must be applied with a heavy-handed approach. It’s not about the number, it’s about how generously you apply it.
• Reach for a leave-on acid exfoliator at night to create a smoother texture, make pores appear smaller, and remove dry cells to reveal that oh-so-radiant skin.
• Since your skin repairs itself at night, never pass on your bedtime routine. Skin permeability increases while you sleep, allowing active ingredients to absorb on a deeper level. Feeling lazy? Perform your routine earlier in the evening.
• The ultimate rule of thumb is my “Golden Minute” rule—once you’ve cleansed, apply the rest of your skincare within 60 seconds to avoid unnecessary moisture loss and prevent dehydration.
