• Ensuring your skin barrier stays intact is essential for keeping your skin calm and looking healthy. Get your hands on a moisturizer to deliver water to thirsty skin cells and oil-rich lipids to bring back suppleness.
• Reach for a gentle, leave-on acid exfoliator at night to create a smoother texture, make pores appear smaller and remove dull, dry cells to reveal a radiance.
• Since your skin repairs itself at night, never pass on your bedtime routine. Skin permeability increases while you sleep, allowing active ingredients to absorb on a deeper level. Feeling lazy? Perform your routine earlier in the evening.
• The ultimate rule of thumb is my “Golden Minute” rule—once you’ve cleansed, apply the rest of your skincare within 60 seconds to avoid unnecessary moisture loss and prevent dehydration.
• Don’t neglect your neck. Stop further damage by treating your neck with the same products as your face, sunscreen included.
