  • How To: The Renée Way +

    When used as a sleeping masque for intense recovery, use at the end of your skincare routine before bed. Apply an even layer on the face in place of a moisturizer. Leave on overnight and rinse off in the morning.

    Use once a week or more often if needed.
    When used as a wash-off masque for a quick reset, apply a generous amount of masque over clean, dry skin. After 15 minutes, rinse well with warm water. Use once a week or more often if needed.

    This masque is not meant to be used over a retinol or leave-on exfoliating acid.

    Rest Day Masque is specifically formulated for barrier repair for those with dryness, redness, sensitivity, and irritation due to using active ingredients such as retinol, prescription retinoids, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, and other drying treatments. It is also beneficial for post-procedure following chemical peels and laser treatments where the skin's barrier has been compromised.

  • What are the three methods of barrier repair used in this product? +

    Many barrier repair products mainly use occlusives to put a protective seal over the skin. Our Barrier3 technology uses this along with two other methods (fatty acids and plant oils) to penetrate the skin and restore skin's lipid profile, transforming it from the inside out. Think of it like a bandage over a wound. It will provide protection, but you'll get a faster recovery when you use a healing ointment underneath.   • Can this be used for eczema? +

    Yes. Especially when left on the skin as a sleeping mask, this works to lessen symptoms of eczema, such as visible dryness and itchiness.

    Absolutely! This works beautifully when applied after using a rinse-off exfoliating peel.
  • Why is it advised not to use this mask with a retinol or exfoliating product? +

    This mask contains occlusives that form a protective seal over the skin. To avoid potential skin reactions caused by trapping active ingredients within, we recommend not combining this product with retinols, retinoids, or exfoliating acids.

    Yes, this is perfect for that! This mask is great for alleviating tightness and dryness to bring comfort to flaky, stressed skin.

Perfect!

I have skin type 9 so my skin is quite dry. I’ve used the Pure Radiance Masque for a couple of years. I typically would put it on before bedtime and then sleep with it. I still love that masque but I definitely felt like I was sleeping with a masque on. When I put this masque on it completely dissolves into my skin. I feel like I’m wearing nothing. I wake up and I am ready for the day. Definitely will repurchase.

Unbelievable

I’m sure this wasn’t made to promote healing, but my Brother had sunburned lips and didn’t have any lip balm to put on his lips. So I had him put this mask on. His lips were so much better and he put it on every day until it was healed. So, seeing that, my gosh it was unbelievable. I’m loving the way it smooths out my neck and chest. So good!

Great rest day masque

I’ve been using this for over a week now on the nights I’m not exfoliating. I love how my skin feels the next morning. I hope this works in cold weather as well, as I usually have to use a heavier night moisturizer during those months.
