Perfect Balance of Exfoliation For Sensitive Skin

I had tried using the BHA Clarifying Serum and the Pore + Wrinkle Perfecting Serum (separately), but my skin would sometimes break out when I used these products and I couldn't settle into a good routine with either. I live at high altitude in Colorado so using a multi layer approach to exfoliation works best for me. The Ultra Gentle Smoothing serum has delivered on exactly what it said it would. It does not bother my extra sensitive skin and I wake up in the morning with noticeably smoother skin. Win-win!

Least Favorite

This is the only RR product I've bought that I really haven't like. It's scent is clean, fresh diapers. It doesn't last long and is quickly overcome by RR lotion, but it's not the way I want to start my morning. It's both too drying and not exfoliating enough for my skin, though I was testing something outside of my recommended skin type.

I much prefer the Skin Correcting serum with targeted use of the BHA Clarifying serum.

Like all of our acid serums, we recommend using the Ultra Gentle Smoothing Serum at night after cleansing and toning since sun sensitivity can increase with usage due to the AHA's. (This also means you'll want to be diligent with your sunscreen application!) As the name implies, this is our gentlest acid serum, formulated for sensitive skin types without acne concerns. If you want an alternative to the BHA Clarifying Serum, check out the Pore + Wrinkle Perfecting Serum! Renée also suggests exfoliating no more than five times a week. So ideally, you would use an exfoliating acid serum like Ultra Gentle or BHA Clarifying Serum three nights a week, then once a week, you would use an exfoliating Peel and Scrub, like the Triple Berry Besties! INCREDIBLE for #5 Sensitive & Red Skin!!!

I have incredibly sensitive, rosacea-proned aging skin. I was expecting my skin to turn red and break out at least at first with this product. All I had was a tiny bit of stinging the first two times. I’m telling you, between this and the Advanced Resurfacing Serum I am a new woman !!!! Thank you Renee!
