| SKIN PRESCRIPTION - SKIN TYPE #5 |

| PRINT THIS ROUTINE |
| NORMAL/SENSITIVE/RED/ANTI-AGING |
| We have recommended an extensive routine for those who want to "get serious" about their skin, but we realize there are others who want a "simple approach." To start with the basics: we suggest the morning gel cleanser (used both day and night), toner, daytime SPF, night-time cream and facial scrub/exfoliant. These five basic products will get you off to a great start, and you can always work into more later. |
| Sensitive skin can be due to many factors: environment, hormones, emotional stress, and harsh skin care products. With a focus on ingredients to help you soothe, strengthen, and comfort your sensitive skin, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (the non-irritating form of Vitamin C) and White Tea offer incredible anti-irritant qualities. Super nutrients put your skin in great condition, leaving your skin healthy, moist, and comfortable. With any new skin care routine, it is advised to introduce one new product a day. |
| NOTE: |
| You will notice that we recommend different cleansers for the morning and the evening. We suggest gel cleansers in the morning to give the skin a deep pore cleansing, while creamy cleansers in the evening are more effective for dissolving and melting makeup out of the pores. If you'd like to start with just one, we suggest the morning gel cleanser to be used both morning and evening. |

| MORNING ROUTINE |
| We recommend a separate routine for morning and evening simply because your skin's needs differ from day to night. During the day, you want to focus on giving your skin protection from the sun and environmental abuse, while providing lightweight hydration under makeup. |
| RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS |
| STEP ONE |
| Cleanse your skin with GENTLE GEL CLEANSER. This provides a deep pore cleansing without stripping and over-drying your skin. On damp skin, apply a dime-sized amount of gel, work through, and rinse well. |
| STEP TWO |
| Saturate a cotton pad with our alcohol-free ELDERBERRY TONER. Wipe over entire face. Leave your skin damp with the toner and proceed to Step Three. (By leaving your skin damp with the toner, you are giving your skin a drink of water, which is essential for healthy skin. All of our toners are alcohol-free, so they will not dehydrate the skin.) |
| STEP THREE |
| On damp skin, apply 4-5 drops of VITAMIN C&E COMPLEX. This provides the skin with daytime antioxidant protection to prevent free radical environmental damage. A must for anti-aging! |
| STEP FOUR |
| Rub a nickel-sized amount of DAILY PROTECTION SPF #30 onto fingertips. Apply to entire face, neck and ears, (even the back of the neck for those with short hair). The latest research indicates that 78% of all sun damage comes from environmental exposure - the drive in the car, the walk to the mailbox. Our sunscreens are lightweight, greaseless, and will not clog the pores or cause breakouts! |
| STEP FIVE |
| Proceed with makeup and an eye cream or eye gel, if you prefer. |
| EVENING ROUTINE |
| We recommend a separate routine for morning and evening simply because your skin's needs differ from day than from night. In the evening, your skin is at rest and in its "repair" mode, trying to heal the environmental damage that occurred during the day. You want to focus on calming, healing, removing surface dry skin cells and absorption of "performance" products. |
| To avoid the "laziness syndrome" that can occur at night, we suggest that you perform your evening routine right when you get home from work, or before or after dinner. Your evening routine doesn't have to be done right before your head hits the pillow! |

| STEP ONE |
| Apply a generous amount of CALMING CHAMOMILE CLEANSER to dry skin. Massage through the skin, wet fingertips, work through again, and rinse well with lukewarm water. We recommend applying the cleansing lotion to dry skin first, as cleansing lotions work to melt and dissolve makeup and oil out of the pores. If your skin is wet, it will dilute the cleanser and not perform as well. Many of our clients enjoy using our Facial Sponges, instead of a wash cloth, for a gentle cleansing. |
| STEP TWO |
| Saturate a cotton pad with our alcohol-free ELDERBERRY TONER. Wipe over your entire face. Leave your skin damp with the toner and proceed to Step Three. (By leaving your skin damp with the toner, you are giving your skin a drink of water, which is essential for healthy skin. All of our toners are alcohol-free, so they will not dehydrate the skin.) |
| STEP THREE |
| For seven nights, apply 4-5 drops of GLYCOLIC SERUM 10% to damp skin. It may cause a mild tingling sensation, which is considered normal. By treating your skin for seven nights with our Glycolic Serum, you are exfoliating the skin by dissolving the glue that holds dry, dead skin cells together to smooth the skin, refine the pores, and accelerate cellular turnover. |
| You then want to discontinue using your Glycolic Serum for a week to avoid exfoliation overload. The new research indicates that when the skin is in a constant state of exfoliation, visible or invisible inflammation which can accelerate the aging process. Also, Glycolic Serum performs more effectively when not being used all of the time. |
| So, for the next seven nights, apply 4-5 drops of WHITE TEA SOOTHING COMPLEX or ANTI-REDNESS TREATMENT to damp skin. Using a serum on your opposite week works to build up and feed your skin with nourishment and performance ingredients. |
| STEP FOUR |
| Apply a small amount of BLUE AZULENE CREAM to entire face and neck. |
| STEP FIVE |
| Apply a small amount of FIRMING EYE CREAM GEL to the area under the eyes. Avoid getting the cream too close to the lower lashes, as the cream might seep into the eyes while you sleep and cause puffiness. |
| HOME MINI FACIAL (ONCE A WEEK) |
| Mini Facials are a must for keeping skin healthy and smooth. Give your skin a boost with a Mini Facial once a week. Your skin will thank you for the extra attention! The proper way to perform a Mini Facial is as follows. |

| STEP TWO |
| Apply 4-5 drops of WHITE TEA SOOTHING COMPLEX. Masks are designed to push serums into the skin, which is why you will get better results with your Mini Facial by using a skin serum underneath the mask. |
